Used Tools: Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop, After Effects, Blender
Description: This project was developed in collaboration with the Coliseu do Porto for their Fiato event, which featured interactive theater posters. Each team adapted two posters into Unity-based interactive pieces. Our group tackled the Japanese tale Madama Butterfly and the Portuguese opera Mátria.
We chose two distinct visual approaches to highlight each work’s character: Madama Butterfly was presented with a theatrical stage , curtains, spotlights, animated butterflies and a looped animation, while Mátria became a tactile storybook with pop-up pages that the user interacts with to reveal three key moments in the tale.
I produced the 3D model of Madama, designed the paper wall backdrop for the stage, and implemented animated textures to it. For Mátria, I created the 2D pop-up assets and animations that give the storybook its physical feel.
The project expanded my technical range, and gave me the opportunity to blend theatrical and illustrative storytelling into interactive formats. It was a great exercise in balancing visual design, performance optimization, and user-directed narrative moments.
