Synopsis: A TV game show inspired bullet heaven, were each contender has to kill the most pastrykin to gain their sugar, and build the bigest cookie!
Description: Sweet Stakes is the biggest gaem the team has developed yet, as to expect with a week long jam. The player is a contender in a gameshow and has to get sugar, the most they can, to bake the biggest cookie. The main theme was about implementing risk for a reward, so various parts of our game made sure to have risk for gains, from the chance of the player to always chose to continue fighting mosters or go back to the lobby, or various gambling like stations at the end of each room.
The player character can be randomised, since each new game is a new contender. Their design was made to be this cartoony, beacause giant pastry monsters and a living oven weren't enought. This was my first real experience with rigging and animation of a rig, so it was a refreshing bit of learning.
